The Science of Periodization

Our approach to improving golfers is based on the science of periodization.

Periodization is a scientifically based method for structuring short and long term training plans. We have found that our students respond better to the demands of training when they have a predetermined plan of action that breaks they're training schedule up into daily, weekly and monthly segments.

There is a lot of confusion in golfing circles regarding the so-called "correct" golf swing.

At the Gold Coast Golf School we believe that a good golf swing is constructed, modified or improved using sound bio-mechanical principles.

Biomechanics is the science that describes how forces and their effects influence movement in sports like golf. Our primary goal is to reduce the risk of injury resulting from poor techniques and overuse common to many golfers.

These injuries can set a golfer back for many months and in fact has shortened the careers of many aspiring amateurs and professionals.
